Was R Burns at Scuttlebutt a mag?
My mom, sister, and I absolutely love the crab cakes! They’re packed with plenty of lump crab meat. The menu tends to change quite a bit, so don’t be surprised if you pick something that’s not available, like tater tots or onion rings. I was also told they have a large selection of beer, but unfortunately, they didn’t have Maertzen, Loose Cannon, Sam Adams (except for Octoberfest), or Ying Ling Flight. When I asked a... What Kathryn E Johnson dislikes about Scuttlebutt:
I haven't visited this restaurant in a few years because I was disappointed by the food. Perhaps things have improved since then. Recently, my mother went back and had a hamburger that she didn't enjoy at all. I do remember that the pork wings were quite good. The location is fantastic, but I really wish I could enjoy the food more. Service: Dine-in. View all feedback.

Only restaurant on the island.....so just a local hangout. It's probably better for summertime happy hour. Drinks were cheap.
Surprised the health department hasn't shut this place down. The regulars are not welcoming at all.
This is a fantastic little spot! We stumbled upon it when the first restaurant we intended to visit was closed. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is amazing, and the service is friendly and impeccable. The name 'You Won't Leave Hungry Scuttlebutt Club' really holds true! We'll definitely be returning, eager for more.
We couldn't even get to the restaurant. We anchored in the bay and took our dinghy, but there was nowhere to dock and no ladder to access the restaurant. We were VERY disappointed!
Came here as a halfway point to a bike ride. I almost didn 't review the place it was so good. Humble brag I 'm not that selfish. Get the fried corn fritters. This is a command) The corn fritters were fried in the outside. But it was moist on the inside. The white stuff is what I call kitchen cocaine, confectioners sugar) this thing gives me big funnel cake energy. But with the new world rizz that has the sweet cream corn speaking seductively to your tongue. The server was great he anticipated our needs before we did. I wish he could do my taxes) I don 't think I had an uncomfortable moment at this establishment. The people were nice . The service was good. Initially we wanted the soft shell crab sandwich or a crab cake but they were out. So we settled for a fried rockfish sandwich. They must have scientists for a chef...it was perfectly fried. I The fried could have been better..they were thin ...But how dare I come to the end of this beautiful journey only to complain about the fries. 9.5/10 Good seafood executed to perfection. Service lacked nothing. I may have written this dramatically. But I had a great experience)

If you're looking for bar food, this might be the place for you. However, I was quite disappointed with the menu, and the dishes we ordered were underwhelming. We tried the soft shell crab, regular fries, loaded fries, cheese sticks, and a cheeseburger, but they were not good at all. The fried shrimp was decent, though. I did leave a generous tip because I understand the challenges servers face these days, and it definitely wasn’t the server's fault. Overall, it just wasn't what I expected.
My in-laws live on Cobb Island, and we stopped by this restaurant on Saturday night to grab a bite to eat. We ordered fried catfish and fried rockfish, and both dishes were delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and we all left feeling very satisfied!
I absolutely adore this laid-back spot! The food, service, and atmosphere will definitely have you returning for more. Make sure to check out steak night and Meatloaf Monday! From 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays, there's a fantastic group of musicians that will entertain you, and you're welcome to bring your own voice or instrument to join in! You'll be blown away by the talent and have a great time!
Awesome little spot, great food, great spot to ride to.
Such a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy wonderful food and drinks!

I was also told they have a large selection of beer, but unfortunately, they didn’t have Maertzen, Loose Cannon, Sam Adams (except for Octoberfest), or Ying Ling Flight. When I asked about it, they just said, "We offer simple beers." (Haha!) But we’ll definitely be back for the crab cakes and the lovely view of the river. The prices are reasonable for today’s economy, so I found that refreshing.
I’ve tried many crab cakes over the years, and this place definitely ranks in my top three. They are enormous and cooked to perfection. The staff here is fantastic as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is the place where the locals go. Had a crab cake sandwich that was huge. It was full of back fin crab meat and very little filler. It was really good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Crab Cake Burger
