My taxi driver, Jorge, suggested we have lunch at Xaibe and of course, I eagerly agreed. The menu is pretty straightforward and the service was awesome. We shared guacamole (the BEST I've had) and I had the cochinita pibil tacos, which were delicious. Our server brought over some onions and habanero sauce, which was also great tasting and fresh. It was a nice day and we sat out in front at the entrance. What a wonderful dining experience!

Drove into Coba and stopped here arbitrarily. This was the best food I had while touring the Yucatan. The service was fast and the food was very fresh. There were vegetarian options too which is greatly appreciated.

Stopped by here after early visit to ruins followed by visit to the local cenote's (cenotes about 6 km southwest of town; turn left out of parking lot). On our way back to town, this little gem seemed worthy of a stop/look see what with minimal options in town. The simple yet very inviting atmosphere (clean white table cloths, sense of pride in business, smiling mesero ready to greet us) caused us to look at menu which offered classic Mexican fare at very reasonable prices considering it is steps outside the gate at Coba ruins and immediately across the street from the central lake in town. The waiter, super friendly and gracious, had cold beers to our table pronto and gave feedback on the menu both in English to my cohorts and humoured me in Spanish as I stumbled along trying to practise my long ago university Spanish. Outcome from all that was fresh and tasty sopa de limon (meal in itself) x 2, terrific chicken enchiladas in tomato sauce x 1 order, and pork and chicken tacos (4 per order) x 3. Lunch for 4 with a beer each was 535 pesos (before tip). Great local find.

Real mexican home made food. Great empanadas and fresh hand made tortilla with free refill policy!!! Quick and friendly service... Outstanding value for money!!!! Don't miss it!

We stopped here for lunch before entering the ruins and were so pleased! We've been staying in Tulum for a week and this was by far the tastiest food we've had. Our waiter was so friendly, brought a high chair for our babe & directed fans at us to cool us down. We ordered too much, as usual, Poc Chuc, chicken fajitas, cheese empanadas, guacamole, horchata & jamaica, everything was delicious.
