Reviews - Riley's Brew Pub

Salad, Salads, Sandwiches

Reviews summary

Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, this restaurant offers a mix of great food and an extensive selection of craft beers. Diners rave about the Tri-Tip sandwich and flavorful burgers, while the atmosphere combines warmth with a modern touch. Despite the culinary highlights, inconsistent service has left some patrons disappointed, with reports of slow wait times and inadequate customer interactions. While some believe the prices are steep for the experience, many find the food quality justifies the cost. For those seeking a casual outing, the establishment remains a worth-while stop, provided you're prepared for potential waits.

What Orlando Thompson dislikes about Riley's Brew Pub:

The food and beer were really good. Service was slow though. It took almost an hour to get our appetizer. What really kept them from 4 stars was charging us 20% for a tip for our party of 2. Pretty low when you get slow service and still have to pay a tip like it was awesome service. We probably won't be back which is too bad. View all feedback.

Like a taste of heaven on earth! The service was exceptional! Cassie was cheerful, professional, and truly a joy to be around—her smile was infectious. The Old Fashioned cocktail was perfection in a glass; it was the best I've had in a very long time. My husband enjoyed a Comet beer, but the dark rich milk stout was the cherry on top. While we were deciding on our meals, we ordered French fries, and I can honestly say they were absolutely delicious! Terry, my husband, ordered the avocado bacon cheeseburger cooked well done, and he received it just as he requested—cooked perfectly! I chose the tri-tip sandwich, which was incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful. We also both had the side salad, and all I can say is YUM! It was made with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, fruits, and nuts, lightly dressed in blue cheese and topped with crispy, airy croutons. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would have to rate Riley’s a 15. You absolutely must visit! You won't regret it. We even took dessert to go, and Cassie kindly packed it on ice for us since we live out of town.

The food and beer were excellent, but the service was frustratingly slow. We waited nearly an hour for our appetizer. What really prevented me from giving this place a 4-star rating was the automatic 20% gratuity added for our party of two. It's disappointing to be charged a tip that reflects great service when the service was anything but prompt. Unfortunately, we probably won't return, which is a shame.

We decided to try this restaurant on a random weekday night without the kids, as it was conveniently located near our home. We sat at the bar, thinking we had made it in time for happy hour, only to find out it ended at 5 PM. Nevertheless, everything was fantastic! The bartender, Trucker, was incredibly friendly and offered us a sample when we inquired about the beers. They had an impressive selection, and I ended up finding a favorite! I ordered the tri-tip sandwich with fries, and I honestly didn't expect much from a pub meal, but it was exceptional! The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, while the fries were hot and delicious. My husband ordered the ribs, and he thoroughly enjoyed them. While it was a bit on the pricey side, it was definitely worth it for the quality of the food and the excellent service. We will certainly be returning!

I really liked this place and their drinks! The wings are very flavorful as well. Can't wait to go back for more drinks and other things on the menu! A drink I recommend is the twisted strawberry lemonade and hard root beer, they have a huge list ofother drinks so will be back for more UPDATE: Went back and hit up happy hour. Loved the happy hour choices and the drinks. Ichanged it from a 4 star to 5 because of one simple thing. The service from the waiter was ON POINT at this visit. Our drinks(both alcoholic and non) were always full! Along with that I had the cheeseburger with all the fixings and some extras and itwas super juicy and mouth watering, you can tell from the pic. The fries were crispy and hot and the street tacos were great, only thing needed on them was salsa and sour cream. Topped it off with a hard root beer, definitely coming back!

The Goat Cheese Burger, Grilled Chicken BLTA, and Tri-Tip are all incredible dishes. The Garlic Fries are the perfect complement to the meal! They paid attention to my requests and truly delivered! I'm a fan and can't wait to visit in person!

Tasty! This brewery serves some of the finest food in the area. The staff is friendly, relaxed, and attentive. The ambiance is delightful, featuring various seating options like low and high-top tables, a temperature-controlled patio, and a wrap-around bar inside. It’s an ideal place for a date night, catching up with friends, or an early family dinner. They also have a wonderful Sunday brunch. Conveniently situated near highway 168 between downtown Clovis and the foothills, it's a great place to check out!

Riley's is truly a dream come true! The service was fantastic, especially Cassie, who was cheerful, professional, and an absolute delight to interact with. The old-fashioned cocktail was spot on—definitely the best I've had in a long time. My husband enjoyed the Comet beer, but the dark, rich milk stout was the star of the show. The French fries we ordered were outstanding. Terry's avocado bacon cheeseburger was cooked to perfection, and my tri-tip sandwich was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The side salad was delightful, featuring mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, fruits, nuts, and a light blue cheese dressing. If I were to rate Riley's on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 15! This restaurant is a must-visit—you won't be disappointed. We even took dessert to go, and Cassie kindly packed it on ice for us since we live out of town.

My husband and I had heard good things about this place and went in to see for ourselves. We went in on a early Sunday afternoon. We had brought our toddler daughter. When the hostess was seating us she shared they were out of crayons. Not to worry I had a pen in my bag for her to keep entertained with, and the kids menu. It's took a little longer than expected for our waiter to take our drink order but he was pleasant, it wasn't that busy maybe 10 or less parties most people were watching the football game. I ordered a Sierra sunrise, my husband, just a water. When my drunk was brought it was overly full and the waiter spilt some of the drink on my skirt and didn't say anything. The hostess brought out the pretend we ordered and placed it on the side of the table where my toddler daughter was rather than closer to my husband or I to be able to cut it apart. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, tri tip sandwich, Sabo noodles and Mac and cheese. All of the food with the exception of the Mac and cheese was overly salted. We needed to scrape the pretzel down to get rid of the salt and ply ourselves with glasses of water. When we were able to get a refill of water...which my husband and I ended up sharing because the waiter wouldn't come back. The Mac and cheese was the opposite, overly seasoned with no salt, and weren't able to eat much of it. My husband went into the bathroom to find a clogged toilet with no signage. I went into the ladies restroom and there were no toilet seat covers or toilet paper on the roll.... it felt as though this place should include self-service on the menu... when it came time to pay the bill the waiter informed me he didnt have a pen, but he stated he saw I already had my own pen (that my daughter had been using) so I could use that to sign the bill...needless to say we won't be returning.

The service depends on the time of day. Weekends are not good. The ambience is okay. Food is moderate- easy overpriced bar food for quality. Most meat is cooked or dry and salads are very not good. I'm at least 3 or 4 different times here to come with family and friends and I've never been impressed. Don't plan to come back.

Riley has become a local fav. They have a great happy hour with food, and the mood is a great mix of warmth and industry modern. It took a while to find out my going to the products on the menu, but as soon as I found them, I rarely veer: the fish and chips, the chicken sandwich, and the tri-tip or steak salad are all färgers. I wish there were sours on the menu more often, but otherwise their craft beer is notch. This place is a great regular joint!
