The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, and... read more While passing through Clovis, we decided to stop for lunch at Cook's restaurant, and what a great discovery it was! The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, and our waitress recommended the tenderized pork tenderloin with a side of gravy, while my wife opted for the hamburger basket. Both dishes were exceptional! The food and service earned a solid 10 out of 10, and it felt like a close-knit community where everyone knew one another. We definitely plan to return next year on our way back from Arizona. Five red stars!

The food was delicious, and the place had that classic diner vibe. By the way, don't miss the ranch dressing— even our 7-year-old thought it was perfect! Here’s what we ordered: two enchiladas, green chili con queso, a BLT with onion rings, and a kids' grilled cheese with fries. We’ll definitely add this spot to our list for the return trip!

The waiter took over 10 minutes to take our drink order, and then it took another 30 minutes for our food to arrive, even though it was a slow day. I ordered a patty melt with onion rings, but the patty melt was significantly overpriced given its small size, and it came with just four tiny onion rings.
