#7 - Order Fast Food Clovis, Catering, Pizza

Reviews summary

This lively Old Town Clovis spot earns praise for its crisp, locally sourced pizzas and an extensive self-serve craft-beer wall, making it a favorite for beer lovers and social groups. Service is generally friendly and fast, with family-friendly options and popular plates like tacos, salads, steak bites and tater tots. Expect a vibrant, sometimes loud atmosphere and occasional inconsistency in food quality and management responsiveness. Great for casual lunches, group meetups, and sampling beers, but experiences can vary.

First timer here! The place is really nice, has a huge bar area and it's located in old town Clovis!I ordered the grilled chicken orator sandwich with a side of garlic fries (extra $1 charge) Best garlic fries ever!!! Def recommend, the chicken sandwich was ok, not the best but not the worst ! We also tried pizza here which was good, the crust is nice and crispy! I'd recommend this place for a lunch spot View all feedback.

What Ebony S dislikes about Blast Brew:

We attempted to go here while visiting from out of town. From the reviews and pictures I saw of the food I was super excited to try it. Unfortunately when we got there around 8:13 the place looked closed although according to yelp it did not close until 9. We looked around and saw the workers leaving. I would have loved to have had the chance to try the food. So disappointed. View all feedback.

The food is always so delicious, the wings are super crispy and the sauce was super tasty. We also enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, the PB and J pizza, and the Cajun Mac and cheese. We were able to get seated right away for early dinner, then make it outside in plenty of time for the Children's Light Parade! All in all a great place for dinner and super accessible to our activities. Food: 5

I like this place due to choices in food and beer. As a beer drinker, this place has over thirty choices of beers to pick from. Most are local and state breweries. The food tasted great nothing too over the top and nothing that had poor quality. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is loud and fun. Would come again 10/10.

Located in downtown Clovis, this place is a solid choice if you're looking for decent pizza and a variety of beer options. As a craft beer lover, I'd say it's great for those who enjoy having plenty of options. They have about 20+ beers on tap, along with some wine and seltzer options. Their cool concept involves giving you a card that you can scan at each handle to select your pour size, from a small taster to a full glass. At the end of your meal, you return the card, and it calculates how much you've poured. There are plenty of clean glasses, so you can grab a new one when you're ready to try a new brew. You might not find the best hazy IPAs in town, but the variety is fantastic, especially if you're with a group and want to cater to everyone's tastes. Overall, it's a good spot for pizza and beer lovers alike.

So this place was....fine but we 'd probably never go back? It 's a chain, but for some reason (and this was our misunderstanding) we thought they were known for their pizza and that 's mainly why we went. How does a pizza and beer chain compare to (say) our amazing local (not chain) South of Shaw? Well, we 'd heard good things but were underwhelmed. Let me start by saying though that the service was really lovely fast and friendly and helpful. And the ambiance itself was fine. It felt like a chain but it was just fine clean and comfortable. Lively but not too noisy. It 's the food and beer that fell short. After choosing a beer off the menu (you order by number) I was told they didn 't have that beer anymore because the menu wasn 't updated. And the server asked me if I wanted another beer that didn 't even sound similar to the type of beer I asked for? It confused me a little and in retrospect I wonder if she wanted to know if I wanted the beer that now had the same number as the beer I ordered? Not sure. But I had a second choice, a pineapple cider and I ordered that; it was perfectly fine. My husband ordered a hazy IPA and was likewise told they might not have that one anymore. So he said any hazy IPA will be fine. So that 's what he got: It was not so great, and he doesn 't know which one it was. The food though. We wanted pizza and yet we didn 't want to just get two little pizzas and no other food. So we decided to get a burger and a pizza and share both. The blast burger was a nice surprise a basic burger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and what seemed like a Big Mac type sauce on a good bun and some perfectly good garlic fries. We both liked that. Generous portions too. Thank goodness we had the burger because the pizza was awful. Now maybe they are not known for their pizza after all, and I went here based on a misunderstanding. But you need to know the pizza is to be avoided. At first I thought, this is not even up to fast food Pieology or Domino 's standards and it 's really not. The crust is thin like a cracker and seems pre fab. There was a lot of sauce and very little toppings. Not a lot of cheese, very few pepperonis. Not pleasant to eat, the sauce was dripping off and it was $15 dollars for this which seemed excessive for what was served. It was overall an OK experience and we liked our servers, but we wouldn 't go out of our way to come back unless we were already in Clovis and really wanted a burger. And for pizza there are a lot better options when Pieology or Domino 's are among the better options you know this is not the place for pizza.

The place is quick to seat and bring you drinks. You self pour the beer and the fridge next to it has plenty of cold cups. The pizza was good and my girls enjoyed their kids Mac n cheese.

We stopped her for a snack and a cold beer. It was just ok. There are so many great restaurants in Clovis and Fresno that I am not sure I will revisit this one because it didn't really stand out and make want to try other items on their menu.

The Bavarian Pretzel was good. The Sliders were overcooked; think of little hockey pucks. Dont waste your money on the Side Caesar Salad; not worth the money.

The pizza was tasty, but it would have been even better if the vegetables had been sliced a little thinner. If you haven't ordered from here before, keep in mind that their pizza uses fresh mozzarella instead of shredded, so not every bite has cheese. The garlic fries were just okay; they lacked fresh garlic, and they didn't seem like they were made from fresh-cut potatoes.

The food is generally quite good. It seems like they were really busy today—there was no beer cheese with the Bavarian pretzel (though it was tasty on its own), and the mac and cheese was less salty than I remembered it being on previous visits.

While everything was technically edible, that was about the only positive note in this otherwise overpriced and disappointing meal. The tri-tip on the sandwich was so dry that I could have cut a slit in it and used it as a wallet. The chicken from the kids' menu was fried for so long that when my child took a bite, it sounded like he might have broken a tooth. I've had less crispy chicken at a Korean restaurant where they triple fry their wings, and that's not meant as a compliment. On a brighter note, the tomatoes on the caprese skewers were so underripe that they might as well have been green. Overall, this will likely be my last order from here—at least the last time I stray from their pizzas, which are actually quite good.

We visited for the first time, and it was fantastic! The salads were amazing, and the kids absolutely loved their pizzas. The mac and cheese was a big hit as well. The double-fried wings were possibly the best I've had in town—super crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Of course, the beer selection was impressive too!

My only concern about this place is the kitchen practices. You can see the chefs preparing the food, and not one of them was wearing gloves. I'm sure they washed their hands, and I understand that baking a pizza kills most germs. However, that doesn't apply to a hand-tossed salad. It does make me a bit uneasy, even though I know they've likely followed hygiene protocols. Despite that, this is still one of my favorite places in the area—definitely check it out!

Charming little pizzas made with locally sourced ingredients. They have a wide selection of artisan beers displayed on the wall. The self-serve option by the ounce is perfect for trying out different samplers. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, right in the heart of Old Town Clovis.

The stuff was really friendly and we could taste some Oktoberfest beers, the pizza was good too. Unfortunately we couldn’t use self service on the beers because of COVID regulations.

Excellent little pub. Has a whole wall of self serve beer tabs, and wine. Pub food was excellent. Talked with Lisa, one of the owners, and she has accomplished a lot with such a small space. If your in old Town Clovis stop in.

Waitress fell off the top of a cheerleader tower and hit her head. We ordered the Strawberry salad with citris vinegar dressing and she brought poppyseed dressing and said we are all out of the poppyseed dressing...so confused. As soon as we were brought our food she asked us how it taste... are you serious. She immediate said oh my gosh I mean is there any thing she I can get you. She came back before we were only a slice into the pizza... which is always incredibly delicious... and asked if we needed ato go box. We still has half our first beer and rest of our food snd discussed getting more food in front of her but was still brought the bill... no hurry to leave if course she said but felt rushed and uncomfortable with interactions. We were ignored the rest of the evening and had to walk to front desk to pay our bill. I visit here often and this was the most odd visit by chance and circumstances. Otherwise pizz and beer and environment are great always.Features: None
