8/22/2021 was our first venture to Dixie Diner, and I'm fucked! We arrived at 845. The staff was very sweet and quick to check for every customer. I had the white engraving and cookies, just like my mother from scratches. I was so full, I had to take Blueberry pancakes home. Phenomena! What Camille Torphy doesn't like about Dixie Diner:
We went in her at 5 min to 7:00 on a Saturday morning, voices from the back of the kitchen cried out, We are closed, we open at 7:00. You don't. You take my drink order and let me sit for a minute. You lost $50. View all feedback.

Coffee was also very delicious!
I evaluate this diner based on their breakfast and service. If you are looking for a beautiful, stylish place, that is not it. What this diner is is a land diner, where you will find southern, house-style land cooking, the great tastes together with the hard working people who cook and serve it. The waiting staff was always very friendly together with the people you run in there. I was there on a Sunday morning and a family started singing hymns together. I also shared a table with another customer during a very busy morning, with which we ended with a big conversation. Families carry their finest church clothing and farmers come from the fields. It can observe an interesting place for people. This is a family-friendly, relaxed diner. Nothing special to look at, the building must be rebuilt and the parking lot is a gravel place. People are real, food is good and prices are very reasonable. It is a great place in the country to get rid of food chains and rat races.
Excellent breakfast. Outstanding service. Well done.
All right! So friendly! So beautiful! Large small side of the street diver with a pretty good menu. The back of the menu is breakfast! I had the Big Dixie Burger and it was excellent. Serves hot with crisp fresh vegetables on... delicious! The most friendly people in the world!
I grew up in this small town and forgot that southern hospitality means something else when you are not white. If you are not white, I suggest that you do not eat here. Everyone, including the other diners, turned to stare at us when we entered. It went silent and after an awkward minute, it was not an employee who spoke to us, but rather an older dining gentlemen. He said, You can sit in the back. I don 't know if he was being rude or helpful but at least he addressed us. When we sat down, one of my daughters took out the jelly cups and started stacking them and we told her not to play with them. Right after this, a waitress came up to us and said she 's not supposed to touch them because of covid. However, there are absolutely no covid precautions taken inside this restaurant. All the condiments (ketchup, hot sauce, syrup, sugar) are shared between tables without being disinfected and no barriers were placed so I felt like this was an excuse to speak negatively towards us. The positive is that the food was cooked decently and other waitresses came to check on us for coffee refills. My recommendation for a friendlier experience is to wait a little longer for Victoria 's Diner which is only a few minutes away.
