This is the second time we've stayed here. Absolute gem of a hotel. Beautifully appointed and clean. The staff are so attentive and friendly, but professional. The breakfast choice is fantastic and delicious, as are the evening meals. You simply can't beat fish caught that day by the local fishermen. What Yvette Conquest doesn't like about The Red Lion:
We initially sat at inside by the window. The window was covered with tiny bugs which then swarmed when our food arrived. We then moved outside. Disappointingly, the food was overcooked and dry. Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view View all feedback.
Room a little on the small side for the price paid, the view across the bay was amazing though. Walkability: Wear sensible footwear to navigate the cobbles and stoney beach. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet

The breakfast choice is fantastic and delicious, as are the evening meals. You simply can't beat fish caught that day by the local fishermen. The best bit is when the visitor centre shuts for the day and you have the harbour to yourself (apart from other guests and the locals). So peaceful and tranquil. I would highly recommend and will be booking to stay again next year. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

We had a really enjoyable relaxing two night stay at The Red Lion Hotel in Clovelly. From the very start Instructions were very clear and easy to follow in the way of email communication from the Hotel Staff for our approach to Clovelly, Hotel Parking, Access to the Hotel via car, what to see do in the historic town and restuarant bookings within the Hotel. We had two rooms booked which we were situated in the Sail Loft area which were both huge in size, well appointed, super comfortable and expectedly quiet. The Hotel Rooms command the most stunning unobstrcutred views of the ocean and we were lucky to have perfect weather to take it all in. Perfect location to walk the lower part of the town and Harbor along with using the Land Rover service complimentary if you stay in the hotel to take you up to the top of the hill to then walk down at your own liesure and explore Clovelly at any time of the day night. We had dinner both nights at the restaurant within the Hotel and were assisted in organising Lobster for one of the nights also which was delicious. Overall the food was really nice, breakfast was equally as good, service staff views and location were all excellent and we had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
