We ate dinner in the bar area after work. Much better service than in the past. We have eaten here twice now since the remodel and changing of employees and haven?t been disappointed. Both times the food has been great and the staff friendly andprofessional. The prices are reasonable as well and the atmosphere is beautiful as always, especially around Christmas time.
Had dinner there a few nights ago. Service was incredibly slow. Hubby and I ordered 2 glasses of wine which took 45 minutes and a reminder that we had not gotten the order. The bartender was blamed for that. Dinner arrived 30 minutes after that. It hadbeen so long our waitress couldn't remember what we had ordered. She almost took it to another table and then looked back andsaid did you guys order the trout? Yes... yes we ordered the trout.. and the beef tenderloin tips on a skewer that were full ofgristle and undercooked. If they had been packed and incredibly busy we would have certainly understood why everything wastaking a while but there were maybe 10 tables most of them two tops and three waitresses. The restoration of the hotel isbeautiful but we will not be eating there when we come back next summer.
Enjoyed a great dinner. Had steak and salmon dinners, both of which were excellent. Server was great, and the place has a great atmosphere. We arrived early (5PM), and there were only a few tables seated, so our dinner arrived quickly. By the timewe left, the restaurant was much busier and the we could see that the staff was falling behind. Will definitely eat thereagain.
This is a beautiful place with gracious staff. The menu is limited, but there is something for all tastes?simple to more elaborate. We had a very nice dinner. If you can talk the front desk into a visit to the tower, it is worth the walk up. Youcan see the white sands outside Alamogordo and the sunset is pretty incredible. You don?t find many gems like this place.
