Rangrez was very good restaurant. Pure veg food was served. Excellent taste, clean and hygienic environment. Though the quantity of the curries does not match the prices, I meant quantity was very less. I along my family or friends would visit for the sheer taste RANGREZ would offer. The owner herself would come to the customers and took order and feedback. The staff was also courteous. But very recently I got confirmed the restaurant is converted to non-veg restaurant. The kitchen is also not separate. I am a vegetarian and hence good bye to Rangrez.
A haven for north indian food on the bengaluru mysuru highway . One of the very few veg restaurants which serve north indian food tasting exactly like one . The food tastes every bit the authentic north indian food irrespective of the geographical location in south india. Tried their Rajma chawal. 'yummy '. parathas are ' wow '. Can any word bring the taste to the mouth and make one experience it ? . one has to really taste it to realise it. If you have a flair for veg north indian food , rangrez is the answer in that area.
Delicious food, perfect for a lunch stopover. The north Indian dishes are simply amazing. The service may be a bit slow, but the food is always hot and fresh. The ambience is lovely as well. I will definitely be coming back here again.
I would suggest people travelling to Mysore from Bangalore to avoid other crowded restaurant and drop by to Rangrez. It has great ambience and beautiful seat out. We ordered 4 north thalis, got hot food. Lovely taste. Would definitely stop by again in future.
We were heading to Mysore during a long holiday weekend and it was bumper to bumper traffic all the way starting from Bangalore even before 7 am! All the restaurants that we normally visit on Mysore road were overcrowded and then we accidentally spotted Rangrez. It is on the left side right after Kamath Lokaruchi just before the go-kart arena. There were only a handful of cars in the parking area. Some of us were already skeptical if this was the right choice. However we wanted to take the risk as it was already 9ish and we had 2 hungry kids with us. We were welcomed by a smile warm good morning by a lady who appeared to be in charge of the place. It has a simple setup of a dhaba with few large wooden tables benches and 2 charpai. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant. The breakfast options are all kinds of parathas, idly poori. We took paratha combo any 2 types of paratha curds sabzi @INR130) poori sabzi @INR65). The food was delivered in about 20-25 minutes. The paratha's were quite big and freshly made and so was the sabzi. Everything was tasty healthy. We even took takeaway and it stayed fresh till noon. The overall ambience is very nice with a lot of breathing space for a relaxed eating experience. There is a basket with shuttle kit, bat ball for the kids. An advice to the owner to survive the competition on this stretch of the highway – have few more south Indian options. The service is a bit slow compared to nearby places of course food served is not the same). This was a pleasure trip with family friends so we didn’t mind both of these. However I also travel on this road on business a lot and perhaps would not stop for the above two reasons. Final verdict, a great place for a leisurely breakfast/lunch/dinner.
