Ordered soup and potato for one child and one child got half portion of turkey and ham no vegetabl... read more Went for our lunch on Sunday with three of our grandchildren. Ordered soup and potato for one child and one child got half portion of turkey and ham no vegetables other child got nuggets and chips. I ordered turkey and ham with half chips/potato and my husband ordered the salmon. Also got desserts. Dinners arrived with portion of chips. Grandchild got half portion of turkey and ham with potato and chips. When bill arrived charged €4.50 for childs soup and one scoop of potato, portion of chips €3.00, jug of diluted orange €2.00; childs dessert €5.00 should have been €3.50. When questioned waitress said we don 't serve half porato/chips any more; why wasn 't this mentioned on ordering. My grand-daughter noticed the waitress 'rolled her eyes ' on exit. Bill came to €62.50 which I cornfirmed I wasn 't paying this much. Older gentleman came in very rude and wouldn 't listen to what I had to say just kept saying this is a restaurant. Eventually listened when I questiioned childs soup and potato said we don 't serve childrens portions of soup !!! Said dessert wasn 't on childrens menu which I strongly protested it was and eventually reduced bill to €60.00 !! We used to go here quite alot for our Sunday dinner which had also increased of which I understand but will never return as it is now seriously overpriced and rudeness of 'gentleman ' would seriously put us off going back.

Smokey joe burgers are class !! Chocolate fudge cake and the cheesecake is a must if your having dessert ! Lovely homely environment and very welcoming and friendly.

From the moment I arrived, I felt a warm, family-like atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The food was wonderful. Ann and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the room was warm, cozy, and comforting. It meant more to me than just a place to stay — I’m very grateful and would highly recommend it.
