Really bad eating. ends here for a bachelor who was booked through a third party company. because of our beautiful braut and the group at the very low quality o... read more Really bad eating. ends here for a bachelor who was booked through a third party company. because of our beautiful braut and the group at the very low quality of the foods was dekerned. we had a set menu, but all the main courses came out and it was as if yesterday she had a microwave carvery even the fish was hard and rubbery. the bark was almost inconspicuously hard. wein ordered for the group, but they had only two bottles of any kind of wein. it was a weekend in a hotel restaurant, so I was surprised that it was not better to camp. Previous weeks I had also asked to postpone our booking an hour later, as we were mistakenly booked too early, but they said they were booked out and could not be accredited. that was fair enough, except in the night the restaurant was empty by us and two other guests, for all the time. on a positive note, the waiting and bar staff could not have been lovers.

After a very disappointing and despairing search for somewhere to eat in a Covid affected Clonakilty, we came across the wonderful, kind efficient manager, Lean... read more After a very disappointing and despairing search for somewhere to eat in a Covid affected Clonakilty, we came across the wonderful, kind efficient manager, Leanne, in the Copper Pot Restaurant. The restaurant was totally booked out and under a lot of pressure due to Covid restrictions with residents of the hotel even waiting for tables. But after sensing how near to tears I was, with a special needs child, she pulled out all the stops to seat us in the lobby even though she apologised profusely that it wasn’t totally comfortable for eating. We were just so delighted to be feeding a hungry and cranky family and I am not just talking about the children! Even after all of that, she did all she could to accommodate two very fussy eaters like it was no problem at all. I have worked in event management, PR and have extremely high standards. Suffice to say if Leanne and her team can please me and soften my critical standards, she could bring a smile to many! She should even be on commission from the local Minke gin distillers and Kinsale’s Stonewell Cider by the way she subtlety suggested both and we both ordered more too. The food was lovely too, the chat with other residents and staff as well. But Leanne and her customer care will leave a lasting impression with us. Thank you.
