The staff... read more I recently had lunch at this restaurant with my 7-year-old son. Right from the start, he was made to feel special, so it is definitely child-friendly. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, earning top marks in my book. The food was excellent, with the Chowder combo being a standout dish that I highly recommend for seafood lovers. The chicken, pesto, and sundried tomato sandwich was also delicious. This is definitely a must-visit spot in West Cork, especially in Clonakilty. I plan on returning later to try out their impressive selection of top-shelf spirits. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere was also fantastic. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Scannells Bar for a night out I will never forget!

When Kevin Shein took it over it was like going back in time . They changed a few things When you walk in you still feel the warmth of the old place and always a welcome when you walk inside. Music and food to beat the band and an incredible beer garden, where I've had the pleasure to sing in on many occasions. If you don't like this place then there is something seriously wrong with you . The staff are amazing too especially the latest addition .

The lunch menu... read more The food at this restaurant is excellent! I especially enjoy the Friday night snack menu, which pairs perfectly with a glass (or three) of wine. The lunch menu always impresses with its delicious offerings. The cooking is top-notch, the ambience is fantastic, and the pub is cozy and fabulous.
