Fabulous atmosphere in the bar and engine room. Great food at a reasonable price and first class service from everyone . Our waitress Morgan was exceptional. Well worth a visit!
We called in today for lunch. The place is amazing, the atmosphere relaxed the place is clean, the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was lovely, lots of it and the Hen Harrier beer was very moreish. We'll be back. Thank you.
Have frequented this venue several times over the past year or so and always have a 5 star experience. Love the items available in the shop and freshness of products. On the most recent occassion (this afternoon) we were served by an absolutely lovely member of staff, I believe she may have been from New Zealand based on her accent, unfortunately didn't get the chance to catch her name! She was extremely helpful and engaging and a real asset to your establishment! Place is always incredibly clean and tidy and well stocked and the cafe always have delicious cakes etc available. Lovely staff and lovely store, would definitely recommend.
Car parking changes not adequately communicated. £100 fine for 37 minute visit. Whilst Holmes Mill may not be managers of the car park they could, and should, have told CUSTOMERS of the new requirements to register the vehicle in order to receive the 2 hour free parking no attempt made by Holmes Mill staff or management! The irony is the wedding party which were due to stay (despite only living in Whalley) will no longer be doing so, and will be seeking full refund, the regular cycling party gatherings are being switched to the Aspinall Arms, meats and pies will now be bought directly from Porter's at Chatburn, gin from online clubs, Vue cinemas all the way from now on etc etc..Support local business following the COVID crisis they said! Well done Holmes Mill another satisfied customer going elsewhere for good. Genius business partnering!!Oh, and the fine will be challenged in civil litigation proceedings.
Firstly they were not taking the implications of the virus seriously. They did take you to a table but after that it was business as normaL.. no face coverings by the staff drinks carried by hand and not put on a tray for you to take the glass off a tray like every other food establishment I have been into. Staff too close to the customers.
