I have been regular for several years and has never been disappointed. it has recently changed the property and the new owner has added the menu. sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, they are all excellent and made in the house. some of their deserts have brought a vegan bakery, and all these choices are also excellent. the personal is professional and friendly, the place is immaculate. parking is abundant. only ext... What User doesn't like about Grounded For Life Cafe:
The idea is great! I like that they are inclusive, ane all plant based cafe, but staff seems confused half of the time. They didn’t give me my whole order the one time, had to come back and get the rest, spend my whole lunch break driving around. Today I order a “sunshine” burger. The menu and the staff does a terrible job explaining what it had and the brown rice on the patty was under cooked and falling apart. Call... View all feedback.
I wish I could give a better review, but this restaurant does not cater well to gluten-free customers. The cashier was not knowledgeable about gluten and I felt uncomfortable making my choice. Despite specifically asking for a gluten-free wrap, they included tempeh (fermented gluten) bacon in it. I paid $27 for a smoothie, chai, and a wrap with eggs, cheese, ketchup, and tempeh bacon. A competent chef should inquire about dietary restrictions and not sell food with ingredients they are unsure of. I am fortunate that I am not celiac and in the hospital, but I am very allergic and will be incapacitated for a few days. I wish I had gone back for a refund on the wrap alone. I traveled 49 minutes to try this place and was left disappointed.
Great vegan food, including gluten-free options! The bowls, cupcakes, and smoothies we had were all on point.
Older lady is not friendly at all. Seems like she can't deal with stress well.
Vegetarian options: Vegan eggs were quite good. I am told they are made from pea protein. Had them with the power bowl that included quinoa, back beans, chickpeas, avocado, pepper onion, corn, fresh parsley. A very nice bowl for $11.99... as a cardiac rehab nurse I will say very healthy!
J.R. and the owner were exceptional. Customer service was beyond my expectations. Their patience gave me a sense of peace. Knowing not what to choose. But see the pick... mmm good!!
