What User doesn't like about The Clinton House:
lack of disabled parking (only 1 we could see). the tables are too close together. it is very loud, and as the place cleared out, it seemed that they re-set the music that makes it always difficult to conduct a conversation. are better than weekends. I would recommend using the above caves as it is still one of the best places in the immediate environment; especially for smaller groups. View all feedback.
This is a charming spot to catch up with friends. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is attentive. We've decided to make this our go-to spot for lunch every month.
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional! Everything was perfectly timed.
I ordered fish tacos for an appetizer. They were very bland tasting I asked for hot sauce and there was minimal fish in each of the 3 small tacos. To make things worse, I found two 1.5 bones while chewing. The serve said 'sorry, I 'll let the kitchen know. The service was very slow and the server advised us that it might a bit of a wait as the kitchen is really backed up . The food arrived, no too long of a wait, we asked for another glass of wine and had to remind the server when the meal was almost finished. Needless to say, bones in the fish, description of on food not what arrived and a very mediocre server. The cocktails we had a the bar were small and over priced. we 're not penny pinchers and pay the price for a well made, good pour drink. We won 't be back to this restaurant.
Very good. I would go back. Pasta dish had a little too much sage for my taste but still pretty good. Cheese cake was not creamy. Disappointing.
On Valentine's Day, the restaurant was quite busy, but it took over 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged at the hostess stand and seated at the bar. This lack of attention did not make us feel welcome. Despite having a reservation for 7:30pm, we were not seated until 8pm, as the restaurant was only allowing 1.5 hours for each dining experience to accommodate other patrons. While it was nice that they called to confirm our reservation, the strict time limit did not make us feel very welcome. The service was good, and the ambiance was nice as we were seated in the fireplace room. However, the prices were steep - $62 for a queen cut size, end cut of prime rib, with all sides costing extra. The New York Sirloin steak was $45, also served a la carte. The quality of the food did not reflect the high prices, as both the prime rib and sirloin were lacking in flavor and served at the wrong temperatures. While I don't mind paying for quality food, I have had better meals at other steakhouses for a fraction of the price. I would recommend trying this place for the ambiance and service, but perhaps opt for the fish or chicken dishes instead of the steaks.
