Great place to go for dinner before attending Portland Stage Company. Excellent food, nice wine and comfortable atmosphere. It would be nice for a meal when wandering around Portland (Congress street art galleries and Art Museum) as well. Enjoy! View all feedback.
What mayor mccheese doesn't like about Bibo's Madd Apple Cafe:
Great food at good prices. Wish the experience with open table had been as good. It was a miserable experience trying to change our reservation from 2 to 4 people. I finally had to call the restaurant. View all feedback.
What a good value. The good was delicious and the server was attentive and so polite
I am so sad to learn that you are closing your restaurant. For the last 8 years I have gone there for brunch before the last matinee performance of whatever Portland Stage was doing. Also had dinner there several times before other performances. I love the restaurant-the food was always fun and delicious, the ambiance perfect for a theater cafe, the prices very reasonable; I learned about new favorite wines from your posted suggestions; the wait staff always was efficient and added sparkle to a brunch out with other lady friends. Thank you for your presence in my life-I'll miss you. I wish you great success in your next venture.
Very friendly as usual and handy to the Portland Stage Theater.
We go here for brunch all the time! Bibo's never fails with fun and inventive benedicts (get the crispy brussel sprouts/bacon/goat cheese one! . Definitely a favorite. It's tucked away rather anonymously on Forest Ave right beneath Congress Street, so it's a pretty great location and easy to get to from downtown and the Old Port.
Great meal flawless! And we had great service. Portland has so many options but so happy we chose this place.
