What Rachel Musetti doesn't like about Serenity Cellars:
The outside seating and live music were great! VERY uneven pours, however for the tasting (5 wines, $20) some of them were barely a splash and some were a standard tasting. A bit of an awkward experience as of the ladies was kinda rude. She made a big deal about me liking an expensive wine (that they sold), and when there were pieces of cork floating in my wine and I told her, her response was “are you afraid of a li... Angie is our new favorite! Beautiful setting, awesome tasting with helpful explanations of each kind of wine, high quality wine, and live music! The staff was super attentive, and the area is gorgeous. We loved it!
Love the ambiance both inside and outside. The grounds were well kept and cozy fireplace on cooler nightsThere is live music on Saturdays. We were greeted with wine upon arrival, which was bonus points. My only complaint was that the bottle of wine could have been bigger for the price.
We visited with a tour group. Serenity Cellars was the 2nd of 3 winery tours. Our tasting was a separate building that was very quaint and charming. The surrounding area was very peaceful and had great outdoor seating. The wine sommelier gave very animated descriptions of each wine and has a great sense of humor. The ladies assisting in the tasting were just a charming as he was. Wines were all very good and one wine they added ginger beer to at first I thought that's crazy but it was soooo good so be sure to ask for the one that goes with a bit of ginger beer. They took very good care of us, it was my favorite of the 3 we visited. Highly recommend.
Donja was awesome. She made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed talking with her. The wind was great with the charcuterie. Definitely worth a visit.
Serenity has excellent wine. All of them are well balanced and very approachable. We sampled Radiance, Sangiovese, La Famiglia Rosso, Harmony, Majestic, Luce del Sole and Dolce Bello. Our tasting guide was a retired sommelier who truly knows and loves wine. The setting was relaxed and comfortable. We learned a great deal about Italian wine styles and regions during our tastings. We were never pressured to buy anything and the wines literally sold themselves. After our flights we bought a bottle of Radiance to enjoy with our lunch, which was recommended as a perfect pairing for turkey sandwiches on a hot day. After lunch we ended up purchasing four bottles of Sangiovese and two bottles of Luce sel Sole. Serenity is well worth a visit . . . and I will be back!!!
