Saucisson
Description
Saucisson is a community-minded butcher and restaurant in Cleveland’s Slavic Village, known for exceptional farm-to-table meats, housemade sausages, charcuterie and rotating events like sausage-making classes and drag brunches. Clean, educational tastings and custom orders (including prized Thanksgiving turkeys) pair with knowledgeable staff and strong local-supplier ties. This restaurant is truly enchanting. I've been a regular for years, and they consistently exceed expectations. The steaks are reasonably priced, and the staff is wonderful. I can't recommend this place enough. If you're in Cleveland, make sure to pay them a visit!
My son, grandson, and I decided to visit your restaurant today after seeing you on the Cooking Channel and reading other reviews. The sausage we ordered exceeded our expectations; it was simply fantastic. My grandson couldn't stop saying "ummm" after every bite! We’re really looking forward to trying the charcuterie tomorrow. We will definitely be back!
I absolutely adore this place! The owner, Melissa, and her team do an incredible job. They offer an amazing variety of meats, from pork belly to homemade sausages to ground beef and just about anything else you can think of! They provide a wide selection, including pre-made foods (I particularly love the carnitas and chili) and products from other local small businesses. Saucisson also hosts special events like cooking classes and unique brunches. If you haven’t been to one of their hybrid Drag Show/Sausage Making classes, you’re missing out! This isn’t just a butcher shop; the Saucisson team truly fosters a sense of community. It’s located in the Slavic Village neighborhood, which is still in the process of development but is definitely on the rise. Saucisson plays a vital role in strengthening the community by participating in local events like Pride in the Village and Taste of Slavic Village. They give so much back to the neighborhood, and I encourage you to show your support by paying them a visit!

We visited for the steak tasting and the educational experience, and we were pleasantly surprised by the warmth and sense of community from the moment we entered. The owner is truly refreshing, with a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to supporting local producers and high-quality meat. I will definitely stop by every time I return to Ohio. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, with 10/10 customer care, 10/10 friendliness, and 15/10 for the meat!
