The Fallen Tree Micropub - Clevedon

Cosy micropub with well designed seating making the most of the space available. Welcoming staff serving lovely ale at a reasonable price. Short walk from sea front but make sure you check for opening times.

Lovely cosy micro pub. Owner happy to chat (along with the rest of the patrons). Good range of beer (ciders, gins and snacks also available but we stuck to just the beer). I have seen some reviews that suggest the range of beers is not sufficient. This is always an issue with micro pubs. Too many and I find the selection overwhelming (and has a bad effect on the profits I guess). Too few different styles (it is possible to get too much of hoppy citra beers) and there is not enough choice. I think the Fallen Tree had it about right on my visit, a few nice beers on tap of different styles. In summary a nice little place that I will return to next time in Clevedon. The Twisted Oak Ultra APA was a really nice, moreish and hoppy (but not too hoppy let's call it flavoursome but balanced) pint and my favourite on this occasion (but I'm fickle and will try them all of them if I can). The others (sorry, can't remember the names) were also good beers.
