I'm going to agree 100 with Dwaye Rogers' review from Sept. Went in for the lunchtime specials and felt like i was walking into a Dancehall no need for the music to be that loud when there's no one in the place)!! secondly, like Dwaye said, the owner and son were far from welcoming, let me tell you something, I prayed over my food as it arrived, the owner came to collect the plates, no how was it ?no passion for his... I came all the way from Dayton, OH and this spot has some really good food! I’d rate it a 100/10! The owner is very nice! I would definitely recommend everybody to come here and get some good Caribbean food.
The oxtail was mediocre at best. The first piece was so tough i contemplated going back in there to change it completely. Also there was so much fat on the oxtail. I’ve had wayyy better and so I’m surprised at the high rated reviews. The rice and peas was okay and so was the cabbage nothing spectacular. Flavors could have been better. Wouldn’t eat it again. Maybe I’ll try jerk chicken or something else if i ever go back. Seems like “Americanized” Jamaican food but then again being from Miami we just have way better Jamaican food.
