I recently moved from Atlanta and have been struggling to find good sushi in Clemson or Pickens. The sushi at this restaurant is just average compared to what I’ve had in Atlanta. However, it’s the only place I’ve found in these two cities with a genuine sushi bar, so I appreciate that. The menu is pretty decent overall. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tokyo Japanese:
We were not able to sit at the hibachi table because they only had ONE hibachi chef. Ordered sushi and I swear, those were THE SMALLEST rolls I 've ever seen. Hibachi dinner was fair, steak well seasoned but the chicken was dry and over cooked, burnt on the edges. AND, there were 2 families, 3 on each check. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and the food was exceptional. I was welcomed right away, which I appreciated, but I did have to wait over five minutes before I received my order.
Absolutely delicious! I love the rolls—I'll stick to the cooked ones, while my husband enjoys them all! The fried rice is fantastic, and the service is excellent. The sake is great as well!
I must say, the teriyaki chicken was among the worst I've ever tried. It had very little flavor and was quite disappointing. I won't be returning.
Best place in clemson area for sushi and all-around Japanese food! Always my go to especially for sushi though! I suggest everyone should at least try it once, you won't be disappointed!
