Went for lunch with my partner yesterday, and it was wonderful. The woman who greeted us as we came in and brought us our food was really nice, the prices were in my opinion quite reasonable, and the food was AMAZING. What User doesn't like about Osaka Express:
Would never go back. Service was fine and people seemed nice, but the food is bland, mushy, and textureless. The fried rice is just rice and one or two pieces of corn and peas. The sushi was poorly wrapped and clearly not prepared by a sushi chef of any kind. Rice was mushy, fish tasted old, and the roll had next to no flavor. Never have I eaten so much duck sauce, it was so bland. Desperately in need of salt. View all feedback.
The staff was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was clean, but overall, my experience was not very pleasant. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, which was listed as $7.50 online, but my bill came to $11.43. My biggest issue, however, was the lack of flavor. The chicken was incredibly bland, and the rice had no taste whatsoever. It felt like a typical suburban dad named Kevin had prepared the meal. I had to smother the entire plate in white sauce just to make it edible.
I believe the poke bowl has been taken off the menu. However, when I tried it, I found it to be fantastic! There’s a wide variety of toppings to customize your bowl, and the fish is incredibly fresh. Overall, the poke bowl is my favorite dish here because of its freshness.
I went for lunch with my partner yesterday, and it was fantastic. The woman who welcomed us when we entered and served our food was incredibly pleasant. I found the prices to be quite reasonable, and the food was AMAZING. He ordered teriyaki chicken, while I had hibachi shrimp and scallops; both dishes were served on a bed of fried rice, with sweet carrots and grilled broccoli on the side. I was pleasantly surprised by how sweet the carrots were, and they were delicious! The broccoli was perfectly grilled and charred, which is my favorite way to enjoy it. She also provided us with a generous bottle of the orangey-pink shrimp sauce and another bottle of teriyaki sauce in case we wanted extra. Plus, they have cake! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be back.
This small restaurant serves a variety of Japanese style dishes. The host was decent and some of the prices are a bit much. However, I believe with the two combinations of meats or seafood and if you have a taste for hibachi or teriyaki is worth it. The restaurant has to go boxes if you don't finish all your food. A pleasant little place to definitely visit.
Great place to fill your belly. Price is more than reasonable and plenty of seating. And they have a lot of delivery orders. That says something to me. How about you?
