Every... read more We enjoyed a fantastic meal to celebrate a birthday. Zoe provided exceptional service from beginning to end, especially for the 84-year-old birthday girl. Every dish was delightful, including the fried green tomatoes, stuffed flounder, penne Alfredo with chicken, fried shrimp, and the surprise birthday crème brûlée. The collard greens were the best we've ever had! We've never had a bad experience at the Lighthouse, and we can't wait to return soon!

We were promptly seated, and our server came over to... read more We arrived around 1:15 PM, just in the nick of time since they close at 2:00 PM, likely for a shift change. We were promptly seated, and our server came over to take our orders right away. We kicked things off with the crab bisque. I was a bit skeptical because we're from the Norfolk area, where good crab is abundant, and I worried about finding quality seafood this far inland. But I was pleasantly surprised! It was possibly the best crab bisque I've ever tasted—rich, creamy, and loaded with crab meat. Along with the bisque, we ordered General Tso's chicken wings, a French dip sandwich, and a specialty salad with salmon. Everything was outstanding! The food, the service, the location, and the prices all exceeded our expectations. There’s also a charming little Tiki Bar right on the water for those who just want to enjoy some drinks. Hats off to this fantastic establishment!

The NC Mountain Trout with Alabama white bbq sauce is amazing—almost as much as the best collard greens I’ve ever tried. If your meal comes with two sides, have the cheddar grits, too.
