**Restaurant Review: Cabos Mexican Grill - A Mixed Bag of Experiences** Cabos Mexican Grill presents a contrasting dining experience, earning both praise and criticism from its patrons. While some guests rave about the large, flavorful burritos and attentive service, others lament the authenticity and taste of the food, describing it as bland and unappealing. Highlighted dishes include the tacos and shrimp salad, which garnered acclaim for their freshness and balanced flavors. However, issues like over-fried tortillas and unseasoned components left a sour impression on many diners. Overall, Cabos remains a polarizing destination; it might delight some but disappoint others seeking genuine Mexican cuisine.

What bartellj dislikes about Cabo's:
I normally don’t give low reviews, but the food was pretty bad. First off the chips tasted like those wafers you get during church communion. The salsa was pretty hard to eat. I got the chimichanga, and it was very bland. Even the rice and beans tasted like a British person made it. View all feedback.
This is a charming family-owned restaurant. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is absolutely delicious. They specially prepared vegetarian chimichangas with chile relleno for us, and they were incredible. I make it a point to dine there every time I'm in town, and I've never been let down.
Recommended by a friend, I did a bit of research before visiting, and with a rating of 4.5 stars, my expectations were high. So, we went there as a group of four adults and a child. I decided to try the three-item plate, which included a steak burrito, a chicken enchilada (the server recommended it as the best meat option), and a chicken taco. The food was incredible—packed with flavor and served in generous portions! There wasn’t much left on my plate when I was done. I highly recommend this place and have already told some friends who will be visiting Lake County to check it out! I definitely plan on returning the next time I’m in the area. My five-year-old also loved his special order of small nachos, which was plenty for him to enjoy.
The food is exceptional, and the service is incredibly attentive! I highly recommend their Quesa Birria; it’s absolutely delicious.
