Visiting from Pleasant Grove, we decided to try High Hat Diner. The owner greeted us at the door and was very personable. Food tasted great, and despite being overworked and understaffed, the owner busted his back to make sure his tables were served. Cooking, serving tables and everything in between. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back. Thank you Ron!
I’ll start off with the positives. The bacon is good, the biscuits are good, the chili verde was good. Everything else was not great. The second you walk in there is a giant hole in the ceiling next to the nastiest swamp cooler I have ever seen in a food establishment. I don’t know if the building has a plumbing issue but it smells like it should be condemned. The whole place smells overwhelmingly like human urine. Hi Hat Diner is a hidden jewel. The outside of the building is so plain, if you drive by too fast you’ll miss it. Once inside it’s like all the magic comes alive. We were greeted at the front door, Ron the owner welcomed us into his diner, he went over the menu that was posted and suggested we try the chilli verde. We were seated and our orders were taken and serve hot coffee, just like Grandpa use to make minus the grounds. Our food came out and boy-o-boy, talk about a lot of food. The food … – show
