Cafe Central (davis School District Nutrition Services)

The barbecue on the patio Wednesdays during the summer are some of the best bang for the buck barbecue around... And frankly it's also some of the best barbecue around without even considering the price. One of my favorite go to meals

Cafe Central has got to be one of my favorite places to visit so far! The food was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the work they do is incredible. Not only do they offer food out of their cafe they also offer catering and ship their baked goods to other school districts. They have outdoor seating and offer a weekly BBQ.

Had a catered meal for 55 people that included sandwiches, fruit, vegetables and desserts. Very reasonable pricing, great customer service and everyone loved the peanut butter bars. No pics because they were all eaten. It turned out so well I order brownies for two other events.

When the children eat in Davis schools, they are happy little buggers. when I was a child (a long time ago) schooling was generally worthy of the abhorse and corpses that were enraged on it. that was hot, delicious and cheap. I suspect that many districts would benefit across state and region by observing how good this is. kudos!

What a big hidden gem. many good deli food options. sandwiches and suppen are great and they have some really good desserts. did not know what to expect, but was really happy with the environment and eating!
