What James Dunn doesn't like about Steak 'n Shake:
Went through drive-through, they fix the sandwich incorrectly, rather than make one properly they tried to give us a cup of condiments when we wouldn’t take that they took our food back and added condiments to the sandwich that was old and then brought it back out as a new one View all feedback.
My family and I went there yesterday and the food was fantastic!. People were friendly and the food was quick to arrive to us.
Fairly priced, accurate order, and quick. Only miss step was not including napkins on a 40 dollar order. Everything else was up to par for a place of this price
Didn't care for self order, self-serve. Then, asked for a TIP. LMAO on that one.Parking: Pulled right up front.
Food was good. But I had to order from a kiosk. For drinks, you had to scan your drink ticket to get a drink or refill. I get itl; it's great in theory, but it slows down the whole process of ordering food.
I have not dined in at S&S for some time. This is obviously the new standard. I like diners. I just do not care for this.You seat yourself, place your order at a kiosk, get your food when your name is called, get your own refills, and take care of your trash. This is not a diner anymore.As a fast food spot, it's OK. It's slower, similar quality, and will cost a bit more.On a final note, we ordered a shake. They put a hole in the bottom of the styrofoam cup, and, rather than replacing it, they just put the first cup into a second cup. We thought it was a mistake and started to lift it out until we realized the reason.
