This family-run restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, thanks to the friendly and welcoming demeanor of the mother. The interior features typical decor and appears clean. The daughter, who also served us, was pleasant and attentive.
I tried the horchata drink, which was excellent but a bit pricey. The rice and beans were decent, and both the pig taco and the barbacoa taco were very good. They offer three sa... View all feedback.
What Jim R doesn't like about Lupita Mexican:
First, I want anyone reading this to know we eat lunch out 3 to 4 times EVERY week. Additionally, I know prices are up everywhere. Both my wife and I each had one tamale and one gordita. We each had a side of refried beans. We both felt the tamales $3.75) just weren't good. They were dry and the meat pork) was dry and so tough you couldn't cut it. The only redeeming thing about our meals were the gorditas $4.75). My... View all feedback.
The food here is truly outstanding. I stumbled upon this restaurant while getting my brakes fixed down the street, and I am so glad I did. The dishes were exceptional, and our waitress was patient, polite, and friendly. This is the only place in the area that I've discovered with incredible tamales. I will definitely return, as I can't emphasize enough how delicious the food was. Service: Dine-in. Meal type: Lunch.

Today, I visited a restaurant and bakery that I had heard about because I wanted to buy some bread. Unfortunately, I really disliked the bread. When you pick it up with tongs, you can't tell how soft or hard it is, but when I got home and tried to eat it, it turned out to be rock-hard. I honestly didn't expect it to be so tough—I had to use a knife just to break through the crust, and it felt like I was trying to cut through stone. The prices were ridiculous as well. I spent $20 on about five loaves, and now they’re practically inedible. I won’t be going back, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I might just have to throw the bread away.
