First time diners to this little local gem, driven past many times and always promises to get food sometime Well tonight we did and the food was amazing, great flavours and generous portions Will definitely make this a regular venue and would have no issue in recommending people in the area give it a go View all feedback.

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves with a delivered take away, what a terrible mistake. Ordered at 5.45pm and they said 6.30pm delivery, 7pm phoned to ask what was happening, an extremely rude woman said 10 minutes. 20 minutes later phoned again, extremely rude woman said 5 minutes. 7.45 I phoned again extremely rude woman surpassed herself so I cancelled. 8.10pm food arrived and driver refused to take it back.... After showing up without a booking (as we always do) at 6pm at Shikara Mindarie we were told it was fully booked. Only one table was being used at the time but we were told that people would be arriving between 6-7... its only 6 we said, we will be out in an hour.. no they said! Pfffftt! Right ok... on we went to Shikara Clarkson. We were glad we did too!! So you haven't got the marina view but then it was dark so who cares! Clarkson Shakira is cosy, welcoming and WARM! We always know to 'rug up' when we go the S.M. (Shikara Mindarie) because it's flippin' freezin'!We really enjoyed the food, it really was excellent. Mysore Lamb, chicken tikka masala and all of the accompanying nans n nice. Really beautiful. There was one poor waitress running around but we didn't wait too long for the food.I think this might be our preferred Indian now over S.M.

And yes it was stone cold. Do not pre pay as I did, in fact my advise is stay away.
Been going to Shikara CLARKSON for the last 4 years and its always been super!tonight we got a takeaway and ordered veg & chicken Korma both were no flavour whatsoever .they sent us a replacement meal but it tasted exactly the same so just wasted $30 as we couldnt eat it .We learnt tonight that it has changed hands. Will be now in search of a new Indian disappointing.
We visit this restaurant at least once a week and have been doing so for the past 4+ years. The food is excellent and the service is efficient and friendly. In our opinion, it is probably the best Indian restaurant in Perth (and we have been to many). The quality, taste, and value for money are all top-notch. You should definitely give it a try, you will not be disappointed! The only downside is that the place could use a makeover. It may be a bit off the beaten track, but it is definitely worth the visit. The $50 deal is unbelievably cheap for the amount and quality of food you receive.
My recent takeaway order from Shikara in Clarkson was a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I found a long dark hair in my Malai Kofta, which was quite off-putting. This will definitely be my first and last purchase from this restaurant, as it raises serious concerns about their hygiene practices.
