The person taking the order over the pho... read more I am very sad to post a negative review for an icon of Maple Avenue. Our take out order tonight was very disappointing. The person taking the order over the phone had very little understanding of what was being ordered. The fresh strip clam dinner was definately not fresh. The breading was dark, dry and tasted bitter. A far cry from the wonderful battered fresh strip clams I have enjoyed in the past. When my husband picked up the order, he noticed we had been significantly under charged and pointed out the error. Now we feel we were completely overcharged due to the quality of both meals. His scallops were overcooked and sweet potato fries were soggy and cold. Coleslaw was not good either. Very very disappointing. I generally don't post reviews, but if I were the owner, I would want to know.
