Nasi kerabu tastes authentic like the one in Malaysia. The chicken is amazing with the smoky taste. Love The single meal with mutliple elements like the fish crackers salad and salted dark egg, not just rice and chicken:) View all feedback.
What ملاك المساعيد doesn't like about Tamarind Cafe:
Meals all came out at different times, ordered Laksa which was served with spaghetti instead of noodles, servings were small, service was unfriendly and all other meals were of underwhelming quality. View all feedback.
Two nights here. quiet and somewhat cool, but the service and eating as shown in the photos was first class. byo and very reasonable prices a big plus also . should they keep quiet about this restaurant so that we can always get in.
Visited the tamarind on recommendation of a friend. I wasn't disappointed. the food was fantastic and the service friendly and warm. each dish was fresh and tasteful. I'll be more regular now. it was also very good.
I think this place has recently been taken over by new owners. eating is nothing less fabulous. the satay is cooked in the traditional hot coal method, the balinese chicken is very tasty, the nasi goreng gets lace marks and the salads are just the freshest they get everywhere. the staff is friendly and helpful. yes, it is a whole 10 meters from the beaten away and up some steps, but really they should try this place. can be quiet, but at least they can hear each other talking. byo makes it a winner. Liquor shops directly over the street in cq (next jack’s.)
Pricey foods that are not so good on taste or ambiente. the summer seats are uncomfortable, the restaurant has only two tables in the air conditioning. the seafood lacsa noodles were terrible, could not even end the portion.
Undiscovered gem in Claremont where you can get actual, authentic tasting South East Asian food! The restaurant is fusion with a predominantly Indonesian background, which adds all the best elements of fragrance, spice and flavour to their fishes. Excellent service The nasi ambeng (essentially a giant taster plate, perfect for the indecisive diner) was generous thank goodness, because it was so tasty that your fellow diners will want to sneak bites from yours. Some of the dishes include chicken curry, stirfried bee hoon, Indonesian-style KFC and sambal seasoned beef lung (for the unadventurous, forget the last word, it's really just stirfried beef sliced bursting with...read more
