We had lots of drinks and a lovely traditional Sardinian meal here. The area that is located in is very Italian and unspoilt with very few tourists. Perfect. Love from the beautiful hoody man and wife. View all feedback.
What Scarlet L doesn't like about Dolce Salato:
Understaffed, incredibly slow service, medium food quality, and the worst is they tried to cheat when we paid. There wasn't a proper bill but a piece of paper scribbled with the total. So we decided to pay by card. When the waitress entered the amount into the card machine, she doubled the price and we immediately pointed it out. This is the last place I'll recommend to anyone who wants a Sunday lunch in Civitavecchi... View all feedback.
The lady who was serving, made a very grumpy impression on us. She didn’t take much time to answer our questions regarding the italian menu. The mineral water brought was luke warm and not the sparkling we ordered. The lady didn’t explain the wines available so we ended with one glass of simple vermentino from sicily for 5 eur. The pasta Amatriciana was ok (9eur) and the fried mixed calamari/shrimps dishes, including and excluding fishes were nothing special at (eur 16/17). The bill for 3 was eur 49.
We hada very good frutto misto of calamarishrimps and white bait fish...the owner lady is very kind and helpfull with very reasonable prices.
My friends and I discovered this little gem of a restaurant last year when we arrived in Civitavecchia to hop on a cruise. And this year when we met in Rome on our way onto another cruise, all we could talk about was how great our dinner was last year. As soon as we arrived in Civitavecchia, we headed over to Dolce Salato for lunch...then returned that evening for dinner. The food is incredible freshly prepared for each order. Yes, they do not speak much English (and I speak no Italian) but we managed to communicate. And OMG the pasta at lunch and then the seafood platter at dinner. Simply amazing! We'll go back next year before we hop on our next transatlantic
One of my favourite restaurants where's always fresh seafood and not only, literally everything is amazingly good and along with good wine it's even better.
It wasn't enough for a dinner, but we replicated and had confirmation of food and patrician courtesy for two consecutive nights. Despite the club being slightly short of staff (it was August,) the courses retained their high level of quality. The clam spaghetti were delicious, as well as pumpkin flowers that dragged me back in time. Unfortunately, for me, it's not easy to get to the place. But if I could ask for a fixed table once a week! The menu ' proposed is not very wide, patrizia always manages to distract with what the sea offers, offering in turn the best proposals for its customers.
