Mezcalería Los Amantes

They have a decent selection of mezcales. The menu is Oaxaha themed but they also have other dishes. It is nice good for people that don't know much about Mexican regional food as it comes with explanation where is each dish from.

Great place to have the best mezcal.The decoration and set up are one of a kind. Exciting, beautiful, great lighting, modern, cozy.The service is also really good.If you come you will have a good time.But, never ask for the mezcal tasting. Is one hour of the most boring presentation. It will be the best experience if they make it in 20 minutes. Folks wants to have some drinks and enjoy, not the detailed one hour step by step process.

The staff is a little weird. When I was there with a friend the waitress did not bring food menu, only the one with mezcals. I understand it is mezcaleria local but we arrived at lunch time and it offers also food, so it was strange :) It made us feel a little embarassed and not very comfortable. But the food itself is really good and nicely served.

I wont say that this place is a tourist trap, but is not very far from that.The decor is nice, I really enjoy it, but that is all. Everything is very average and extremely expensive for what you get for. I know that is located in Polanco, but for the prices, you can get way too far better options around. Service was pushy to order the most expensive things. That is something that I really hate.The experience was not a completely disaster, but certainly I wont come back.

Nice place somewhere in Mexico City's heart. Ridiculous overpriced in my opinion, specially when we are talking about buying Tequila in Mexico.
