LoPorto Italian restaurant on 4th Street in Troy, NY, is a must if you enjoy authentic, homemade, Italian cuisine! Portions are like a true Italian mama makes to ensure you are well-fed! Everything is fresh, well-seasoned and packed with flavor! There was clearly no canned sauce nor boxed pasta being used here! I ordered a lasagna and my husband got Spaghetti Matriciana! We ate as much as we could and brought the rest home. Of course, that didn’t stop us from ordering and enjoying one of the most delicious desserts I’ve ever had. We shared a lemon-blueberry cake that was probably one of the moistest cakes I’ve ever eaten. The filling was made from ricotta cheese so that the cake was not too sweet. Our waitress, Emily, was very accommodating, and we enjoyed chatting with her about her adventures in Italy. So, if you’re in the area and in the mood for delicious and flavorful Italian food, LoPronto is the place for you!!

The best Italian food I’ve had in years! We frequently stop in Troy on vacations and this place is a must. Everything from portion sizes to flavor tastes like they got a bunch of nonnas in the back making the food. Our waitress was awesome, I forgot to write this review the day we came but I’ve been craving the chicken cutlets and remembered to do so now!

I think I just had the best food in Troy NY and the hit to my wallet was so much less than expected the food was AMAZING The portions LARGE the Service from Lidia was a perfect really was amazing you gotta try it.

Lovely little Italian restaurant in the heart of troy. Just a really great spot. Warm and inviting when you walk in, you can smell the food as you enter.I had the Calamari fra diavlo and ordered it hot it was nice and spicy with great flavor and the portions were huge.Had a very nice time will certainly be back
