I absolutely LOVE these hot dogs! Their fries are cut in house and are also phenomenal. Quality dogs with a nice, rich meat sauce are unlike many in the area. I do enjoy me some Hot Dog Charlies, but Famous Lunch has the name for a reason! If you love a good dog with the works, you NEED to stop here at some point in your life! View all feedback.
Run, do not walk here! It’s AMAZING! Adorable. Best little miniature hot dogs I’ve ever seen/tasted. Total old school vibe. The staff were so, so friendly and accommodating. We were in Troy for the weekend and realized they weren’t open on Sunday’s but went in on Monday morning and they gladly made us lunch or franks and fries! Old school RC Cola. Grilling dogs in the window. This place is a real gem. Great conversations with the folks working/area locals. We loved everything about it. And we WILL be back. Thanks again!
This little hidden gem was been in troy for over 80 years.it looks like it. A true hole in the wall. About 20 counter 'bar ' seat 7 or 8 booths. These tiny little hot dogs with their famous meat sauce is to die for. Pepper and onion sandwich is the best in town. Really all their food is amazing. They always have fresh pies. Old school RC cola cans. Bathrooms are old but clean.
Delicious! Always fresh and you can count on the same quality and service for years! Don't forget to get the rice pudding! Best ever!!
I finally visited this iconic restaurant. I was in a hurry and only had enough time to try the hot dogs, but they were fantastic! I ordered them fully loaded. The chili was great, and the hot dogs had a wonderful texture and flavor. A tip: watch out for the orange grease—it stains EVERYTHING! I wish I could have stayed to sample more items from the menu, but I will definitely return! Extra points for the classic RC Cola selection.
This is a classic American diner with affordable prices, friendly staff, and the best hot dogs you'll ever taste. From the very first time I sat down, I knew this place was going to be great.
