Food is very good. Service is excellent, and outdoor dining overlooking the Niagara River at sunset is spectacular. The Merlot I ordered with the meal was very good. Recommended for a night out, by yourself or as part of a couple. Loudest noise I heard was Niagara Falls in the near distance. View all feedback.
What rachelr doesn't like about Parkway Prime Steakhouse Lounge:
Service was very poor. We were the only table and service was extremely slow. Had to pour our own champagne bottle we ordered, and when the bottle was opened half of it overflowed. Food was ok. Location was good and view was nice but didn't make up for poor service. View all feedback.
On June 14, 2024, before our 4:00 pm reservation, my wife and I checked in with our server, Angela at the “Parkway Prime Steakhouse and Lounge” restaurant. The restaurant is a tenant of the “DoubleTree by Hilton”. The receipt shows “DoubleTree by Hilton” instead of the restaurant's name. We enjoyed the appetizers: Calamari Fritti $15): It was crispy fried tossed in a sweet chili topped with black garlic sesame aioli; Shrimp Toast $14) béchamel sauce, garlic spinach, spicy shrimp, mozzarella, cheddar, french bread. The entrees were fantastic: we each had one Faroe Salmon $34) each) 8 oz. citrus crusted salmon pan seared and served with four 8 inch long grilled asparagus, six cut fingerling potatoes cut lengthwise and topped with béarnaise sauce. Notes: Contrary to the posted signs in the Doubletree Hotel parking lot, you do not pay the $20 parking fee, you are not staying overnight in the hotel. The restaurant is located near the hotel reservation area.
Great meal, salads fresh, steak cooked perfect, drinks delicious!! Went back next day for breakfast
I want to warn you about a restaurant that I had a terrible experience at, and I highly recommend that you do not eat there. The staff was awful, and the same goes for the manager. When I arrived with my party of 14 at 7:15 pm, I checked in with the hostess to let them know that we were ready. However, she told me that the room was almost ready. At 7:45 pm, I checked again, and she said that my party had already been seated. Shockingly, they had given our reservation to another group that had a reservation at 6:30 pm. This ruined my daughter 's celebration of just graduating from college. They finally gave us a table at 9 pm, and to make matters worse, they tried to give me coupons for a free dessert. After being seated, they put water on the table but didn 't give us any glasses. We asked the server for glasses, but he instantly became rude and said, Well, you don 't want anything else. We waited for 15 minutes, but he didn 't return, so I went and asked the manager, who was also hostile. I told him that we shouldn 't have been given a table in the first place, and I alerted him to the other party being seated in the room that should have been given to us. He then said, We will right off the drinks you had at the bar. The female server was constantly muttering things under her breath, which my daughter heard. Finally, when the bill came, it was completely wrong. After three times, they finally fixed it. The food was mediocre, but the overall experience was terrible and unacceptable.
We had a reservation for 7:15 and we were seated promptly. I ordered the Grapefruit Martini and my partner ordered a the Santo Margarita and they were delicious. Our server was kind and was quick to check in on us. Unfortunately, the majority of our food was inedible. I ordered the lobster risotto and the lobster was so tough that it was incredibly hard to chew and had little flavor. My partner ordered the 16oz New York Strip and a side of the brussel sprouts. Their steak was ordered medium rare but when it arrived it was well done, zero pink inside of that cut of meat. They also ran out of brussel sprouts so they side they gave us was very little sprouts in it and was mostly burnt pieces and the bacon its cooked in. We told our server and she was quick to get a manager who then removed the brussel sprouts and brought me out a slice of salmon to eat since I couldn't eat the lobster the salmon was very good. She also took off around $50 of our bill and gave us free desserts which we enjoyed. However, I can't justify spending as much as we did on our dinner for it not to be cooked well, especially an almost $50 steak.
So everything was fine. We order the dinner for 2 with a 48 oz steak and one side. The steak was good and definitely worth the money but when it was time to pay they just took it upon they self to put a $30 dollar tip on our bill. That is what ruined our service for them. I understand it was Mother's Day but you don't force/bully a customer to pay that much tip. We still tipped but that was excessive.
