Vinus Marc - City of New York

We visited on a Friday night, and while the food was good, we were disappointed by the service. There was only one bartender and one server, which resulted in long waits for our drinks and the check. We had to ask twice for water, and when we finally received the check, it was incorrect. We also had to send back an overloaded dish and wait again for the corrected order. The server was friendly when they were available, but it just isn’t fair for one person to handle the entire room!

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my mother's birthday, and we had a fantastic culinary experience. They fulfilled my request for a special surprise dessert, and I was thrilled when they presented a beautifully decorated plate. Our server was very attentive, and the shrimp and grits were a huge hit. A big shoutout also goes to the bartender who recommended their delicious citrus-infused cocktail.

The food was incredible and the service was terrific what a great find!

We are new residents of the UES and are exploring restaurants in the neighborhood. Hungry for brunch, we headed to second avenue to Vinus and Marc having found them on YELP. The atmosphere is charming, reminescent of the Russian Tea Room, the service is friendly and efficient, the food very good and a great value as well. Try the **** Mary, one of the best I've ever had. This place is a true gem and if they can continue to battle the road project please go and eat there and support them) they will surely become a staple for those of us that call the UES home.

Surprised by location- this restaurant is located in the part of the street construction for 2nd Ave subway which made this area very difficult for our handicapped friend to get to the mid block restaurant . Once there we had a great brunch
