What User doesn't like about The Bronx Beer Hall:
If I could give this place 0 stars I would I went here a few days ago I saw the owner at his place of business openly making racist and degrading comments about Italians in LITTLE ITALY! Especially feeling so comfortable about in 2022. I couldn't believe it I do hope his business does go under and will tell everyone I know not to patron his business or buy his beer I think natural light is much better then his sorry... The bartender had a great understanding of the various types of beers. I tried the Double Hazy IPA from Warbler Brewery, and it was quite hoppy with a pleasant citrus flavor.
I wanted to get beer from this place for a party I was hosting. After reaching out via email, I received a prompt response from Paul, and we exchanged texts frequently in the days leading up to the event. He was always in touch, very responsive, and provided excellent recommendations. When I arrived to pick up the beer, Paul was incredibly friendly; he even offered me a drink while I waited. He then helped me carry all the beer to my car. I haven't even had a chance to enjoy any of it yet, but I was so grateful for the amazing service!
The venue has a great vibe with a lively atmosphere, events, and music. However, the beer prices are excessively high. Don't expect to receive a full pint; you'll only get an overpriced 12 oz in a plastic cup. The happy hour hardly feels like a deal—when I visited, they were serving $5 pilsners and $8 pale ales, also in 12 oz cups. During events, it can get chaotic, and there's no clear system for serving beer. Additionally, I experienced being overlooked by the staff, which was frustrating.
I am from the Bronx, love the Bronx, and I am all about supporting local Bronx business. I love the Bronx Beer Hall. Yet I am so disappointed to have to over pay for a 12oz beer. I always ask bar tender for a full pint (16oz). And then I get this plastic cup that is 4oz LESS than a pint. Yet I am paying the price for a pint. And that's simply unfair! And this tends to happen at large events, so I understand that plastic cups are more efficient, but give me a full pint!
Issa vibe. With great craft beers on tap, an anything goes crowd and unpretentious atmosphere, this is most likely to become a staple in Little Italy. Saturday nights are just as unassuming. However, be prepared to shell out a cover charge and a tad more for pricey drinks. Hope you're not in a rush because the waitstaff and bartenders are sluggish at best.
