What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about Comodo:
My husband and I went for brunch--we were the first guests in the restaurant and the only ones during our visit. When I ordered my breakfast bowl I was told it would be 20 min in order for the rice to be prepared which I was okay with, but unfortunately that 20 min ended up being over an hour without any communication regarding the delay. I love that Comodo started as a dinner party in the chef's home, and I enjoy supporting Latino entrepreneurship, as both owners are Latino. My husband and I visited Comodo with some friends on a chilly winter night, and from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the warmth of the staff and especially the delicious food. We shared lamb sliders, arepas, and Brussels sprouts for appetizers, followed by the delightful duck and steak as our main courses. There were only two desserts, so naturally, we ordered both—one made with espresso and the other featuring sunflower seed ice cream. Every bite of every dish was absolutely fantastic!
The brunch menu was quite unique, and everything was delicious. The spicy broth in the basket was unforgettable, and the cauliflower flatbread was simply amazing. The eggs featured in some of the dishes, like the flatbread and the kale salad, added a delightful brunch touch that felt intentional—the flavors blended together perfectly.
It was fantastic. The service was a little slow, but overall, I had a wonderful experience. Dining here is amazing, and it's also a great spot for a date.
