Absolutely fantastic! The Sangre de Toro wine is delicious. The service was excellent. While the patatas bravas were tasty, they felt a bit overpriced. The steak was satisfying, and the beet salad was exquisite. And those croquetas de queso de cabra with strawberries… wow!!! View all feedback.
What Fuschia Gaskin doesn't like about Buceo 95:
The food was quite delicious, I especially enjoyed the shrimp and the lamb chops. The service was good. Unfortunately, the enclosed area in front of the entrance where we were sitting wasn't waterproof and we had to move indoors because it began to rain. Although it was quite noisy indoors when I first arrived, it was less so later when we had to move tables. I'm not a fan of the high top tables which were difficult... View all feedback.
The restaurant is open late, and the staff is friendly, taking their time with us even though it was close to midnight. I really enjoyed the seafood paella, as well as the stuffed peppers with cheese, fennel salad, and spicy margaritas. There's plenty of space and a cozy atmosphere. I will definitely come back to sample more items from the menu.
The atmosphere with the outdoor seating was fantastic. The wine was affordable and enjoyable. However, the food was rather disappointing. It felt like yet another example of "Upper West Side"-style cuisine: while the ingredients were fresh and well-prepared, it severely lacked the seasoning, spice, and flavor one would normally expect from authentic Spanish dishes.
**Pros:** The service was outstanding! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and there were plenty of menu choices. **Cons:** The cooking was inconsistent; some dishes were slightly undercooked while others were a bit overdone. I do plan to return and try other items on the menu that sounded appealing! I arrived right at 5 PM when they opened, but it was quite challenging to navigate as I left. As they mention on their website, it is a small space, and people were standing around, blocking the aisles. Next time, I might opt for patio seating; it looked cozy and seemed like it would be less crowded!
The best tapas place I?ve been to in New York City. I came here with a group from work and we enjoyed the environment and ease of continually ordering until we were full. I loved the shrimp, lamb, meat and cheese, octopus, asparagus and my favorite wasthe bacon wrapped dates. If you?re looking for tapas this is the place.
All the vegetable-based appetizers were fantastic, but the protein-based tapas didn't quite hit the mark. I hope it was just an off night.
