Galitos - City of Mount Vernon

The food was very good. Her timing was a bit off... the dish that was the longest to cook was hot, but the other two were warm. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. The staff was wonderful!

The first night in the city was brought to this restaurant, the waitress was amazing. I was a woman who had the salmon court everything, but the veg was great.

On September 14, 2021, I discovered that they no longer offer small oysters. We visited for the $1.50 oysters and small neck clams, and I was delighted with their size! I had recently been to another restaurant in Providence that served $1 oysters, but those were quite thin. In contrast, these oysters were plump and satisfying! We also tried their watermelon margaritas, a caipirinha, and watermelon lemonade, all of which were fantastic. While the service was a bit slow, the staff was very friendly and pleasant.

The grilled octopus was fantastic, and the service was incredibly friendly!

The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. I will definitely return! Be sure to try Jeanine's Sangria, whether you choose white or red – it's fantastic!
