The food here is incredible! It's authentic, fresh, and tastes just like what my grandmother used to make. I highly recommend it—10 out of 10! I tried the yuca alcapurria and the shrimp and cheese empanada, and they were delightful. The rice with gandules was the best I've ever had! Everything was delicious, and the plantains were perfectly sweet. Truly quality authentic cuisine! View all feedback.
What Steven Pagan doesn't like about Brunilda's Cuchifrito:
WAY TO EXPENSIVE im from nyc and this place is to much and the servingsare tiny compared to what you should get for the price i get half chicken rice and beans from the Dominicans for 10$ smh......... View all feedback.
$16 for a plate for dinner, you can't go wrong. After living in Puerto Rico, this feels like home! The food is amazing, you can't go wrong with anything you choose. The owners are the nicest people on earth. By far one of my favorite places to eat in Middletown. I prefer paying with cash to avoid the convince fee on the card but other than that, everything is perfect. You won't be disappointed.
I was visiting the area from the Bronx today. I decided to stop in before going back homebased on these reviews. This place EXCEEDED my expectations. As a Bronx native, I am surrounded by Dominican Puerto Rican restaurants. This place is BETTER than most local places I've eaten at in terms of authenticity. Everything was cooked to perfection. The Pernil was not dry or overwhelming with oregano like most places. The flavors were just right. The habichuelas tasted like Abuelitas. They even had little pedazos of papas which I loooooved because that's what brings it home! If you know, you know! Absolutely worth the price. I like to enjoy my food and not have to compromise flavor or quality for cost. Definitely will be back when I travel up north again.
Excellent service and GREAT FOOD, Highly Recommended if you're in the neighborhood stop by or You Will Miss Out!!!!!.....
I love this spot. If you are looking for authentic Puerto Rican food in Middletown, it's right here. Each time you walk in, they make you feel like family. The food is amazing.
Great good, this is authentic. It was such a pleasure to find a place that cooks with love.
