I have visited this restaurant multiple times with a friend from London. I found the food to be delicious, the beers to be flavorful, and the atmosphere to be welcoming - even for an American who is not familiar with pub culture. View all feedback.
What GermanoF doesn't like about The Nightingale:
It's a nice, charming place that can make your coffe a pretty unique experience, in spite of the quality of the coffe itself ...probably not the best ever! and the bill. A bit more of attention from the staff would be great. Be advised: CREDIT DEBIT CARDS are not accepted. View all feedback.

Its a nice little cafeteria opposite grosvenor gardens. Staff could be a bit more friendlier and speak only in english, even to each other. Just maybe not my cup of tea
My friend and I came for breakfast. It wasn't good.. We ordered roast tomato and mushroom on sourdough, expecting a reasonable portion for the nearly £7 price. When we received the food there was 4 cold mushrooms and a tomato on a piece of hard toast. Admittedly London prices are going to be more expensive but this is not justifiable. I mentioned this to the staff and they were understanding, but claimed it was out of their hands and of the owners discretion. The mocha and tea we ordered came to £7. My friend really enjoyed her mocha, but £3.50 is a price I've never before paid for English tea. The staff were pleasant and offered discount but the food and prices ,for us,are not worth it especially in a city with cheaper better options.
Yes. Two average cups of average tea. Seven pounds. People feed their families for a day on less. Even if you leave out the laughable prices, it's still very average. That it is located in an old pharmacy with some of the pharmacy furniture and effects still there doesn't forgive it its crass overpricing. Guys, you're having a laugh. Heavily overpriced, average fare, quite unkept, the stairway down to the loo is probably dangerous, needs cleaning and it looks uncared for down there at best. Little to redeem it. Can't think of a single thing. Save a bunch and go anywhere else.
Called in here today for a quick lunch whilst waiting for our room to be ready at The Rubens. We were enticed in by the interesting building, once the Queens pharmacy. Sadly we found it over priced for not great quality and poor service. My super berry smoothie did not taste fresh and I think was ready made, my husband's green tea was a tea bag in a poor teapot. I had a veggie quiche which was microwaved to within the inch of existence with a side salad consisting of lettuce I would throw away. My husband had the steak and ale pie, again microwaved with a lettuce side salad. All for £28, what a disappointment and no interaction from staff who didn't ask once how our food was.
