Best pizza I have had since arriving back in NY months ago. Crust is crispy and thin. The white cheese and broccoli slice was delicious. The eggplant was excellent. Fresh flavors on both View all feedback.
What Michael Schuett doesn't like about The Picnic Basket In K:
I feel bad even writing this review.. there was a time where I would drive across town to get pizza here instead of 440. Stopped by for the first time in a while the other day and won’t be back anytime soon. Seems they’ve done away with wood fire. For my pie at least. Very little and low quality cheese. The sauce used to be a staple now it taste like cheap marinara out of a can. Disappointing from one of the last gen... View all feedback.
They completely changed their ingredients to make an inferior product. Used to be one of the best pizza places that I would go to regularly anytime I was in Kingston. Their bruschetta used to be amazing, made with delicious cherry tomatoes and thin crispy crust. Now it's made with cheap tomatoes scraps and the crust is like cardboard. Major disappointment! So sad to see the fall of what was once great pizza!
In an era where so many restaurants are both overpriced and bad, Picnic keeps it real with great slices on the cheap. Plenty of vegetarian options too.
Great little pizza spot! Just stopped in today pizza is great and staff are very courteous.
Great place to stop in and grab a slice of bring home a pie delicious and decent prices good people working there too
I'm an RN, and work for the on call team at Hudson Valley Hospice. I cover Ulster County, and some evenings are very busy. On busy evenings, I only have time to stop for a bite to eat. Whenever I'm visiting patients in the Kingston area, I stop at (and look forward to) Picnic Pizza for a few slices. Nice people, and the best pizza around!
