The Amsterdam - Rhinebeck

We had initially planned to dine elsewhere last night, only to discover that the restaurant was closed. So, we decided to give Amsterdam a try, and it was the perfect choice! The food was incredible. I had the duck, which was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, while my husband enjoyed a burger that he devoured in no time. Don’t forget to try the shellfish! The drinks were also fantastic. Our server, Ryan, was exceptional and truly enhanced our experience. When she learned it was my birthday, she surprised me with a delicious dessert! We will definitely return.

I have rarely encountered culinary art as remarkable as this. The food was expertly crafted and provided a delightful experience for every palate. The 1.5-hour drive was definitely worth it. To top it all off, the restaurant boasts stunning interior design.

I enjoyed every bite! We started with a beet salad and also had a plate of goat cheese served with what we believe was orange jam and blood orange, which we mixed into the salad—it was amazing! The burger I had was the best I’ve ever tasted.

The food was delicious! Waiting staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The shells were there! Will definitely come back! Can't wait to eat on the new terrace!

My daughter, my girlfriend and I had dinner together on 07/01/2017 at The Amsterdam. My main take away from the experience is that the food was Excellent!. The only negative take-away was that having a conversation with your fellow diner's was a little difficult due to the poor acoustics of the room (high, steel ceiling and hardwood floors caused everyone's conversations to just bounce around the room). They need to install some sound absorption materials to deaden the ambient noise. That being said, the food and the service really were incredible! We had 4 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 deserts and everything was delicious! Ryan (our server) was very attentive and personable... she made sure that we had everything that we needed and answered all of our questions with a smile. All-in-all it was a great experience that I highly recommend if you are in the area... we will definitely be back!
