What Ran Zhang doesn't like about Luyu Dumplings:
Just a heads up, they charge an extra $5 for credit card payments on takeout orders without informing you beforehand. The staff's attitude is quite rude when questioned about the charge. Make sure to carefully check your bill as it seems a bit shady. I wouldn't return due to their poor service. Ratings: Food: 3, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 2. View all feedback.
Went on a quiet Tuesday night. It looks closed from the outside, but it isn't! The windows are just tinted very dark! The soup dumplings are the perfect cross between Din Tai Fung's super thin-skinned ones and Mama Lu's thick-skinned ones. I loved the soup in there!!We also ordered the lamb and fennel dumplings if you're a fennel lover, you will like these! Potstickers were fantastic as well. Their chili oil is so flavorful too.3 orders of dumplings came out to be $28 before tip great value!
Everything was so good! Honestly, I can't even say which one is my favorite or I'll feel guilty for not mentioning the other dishes! The red can of herbal tea tastes like grass jelly! I loved it!!Note: don't come for the service. The food speaks for itself!! AMAZING!! Definitely coming back!!Its a small little shop. They barely speak english. You feel like your grandma is yelling at you but the food is good so you don't care.It was my first time and I literally just pointed at the big photos on the wall to order what I wanted lol!!They do take credit cards. Food comes out piping hot and pan fried dumplings come out perfectly crispy!Wonton soup was so flavorful!!!!! I couldn't Believe it! There's even dried shrimp in there! They had the best beef roll I've ever had. Not too much sauce but all the flavors were so good!!Soup dumplings were so delicious! I loved it all.
Ordered the beef noodle soup , pork and cabbage dumplings and chili noodles . They were all so good!!!! There is a language barrier but that shouldn’t stop you from trying this place . They were really polite and gave us good customer service. Will be going back!
The reviewer decided to try this restaurant and was quite impressed by the handmade noodles, which had a beautiful texture and pleasant chewiness. The dumpling wrappers were also well-made and the fillings were flavorful. The reviewer only suggested that the steamed pork noodle have less meat and a thinner wrap. They mentioned that the restaurant is worth returning to. However, they noted that a machine the restaurant uses to read each order out loud was quite disturbing while they were eating. The reviewer recommended turning it off, as it could be unpleasant if the restaurant is busy all night and the loud voice is constantly heard.
The food and dumplings at this restaurant are very good, but be cautious of the chilly welcome we received this evening - it was nearly freezing! The service was for dine-in dinner, with a price range of $10 to $20 per person. Vegetarians may not have many options, so it's worth asking. There is plenty of parking available, with a free parking lot as the main option.
