Contribute FeedbackOdyssea, a restaurant situated by CITY BEACH, offers a crisp modern interior with stunning views of the ocean from its patio. Despite the beautiful setting, recent reviews have been mixed. Some diners have found the food to be less than average, with complaints about portion sizes and lack of flavor. Others have experienced disappointment with slow service and unimpressive dishes. However, there are still positive reviews praising the delicious food, warm service, and picturesque ocean views. Overall, Odyssea seems to have its ups and downs, making it a hit or miss dining experience for customers. Despite the mixed reviews, the scenic location and potential for a great meal make it a tempting spot for those looking to enjoy a meal by the beach.
It takes a brave establishment to take on the mighty black truffle! Some love it, some hate it and some can taste it more than others… Our experience as a group of four was excellent. The food was delicious, perhaps a little experimental at times, but that’s what we were hoping for and expecting. Standouts were the lamb dish and also the truffle ice cream dessert. Congratulations to the team, the restaurant was packed, but service was friendly, organised and efficient under full steam! We had one minor issue with one of our party’s preferences which was handled courteously and quickly by managers. Thank you, we look forward to a visit to explore other menu offerings.
I would leave zero stars if I could. I had a 5-course truffle dinner with my friends and it was my worst dining experience ever. Even though the star ingredient was truffles, only the last course, the dessert, was I able to taste truffles. I was especially shocked at one of the courses. It stated veal in the menu but what I was served was a piece of cold cut that had absolutely no flavor. It was also dressed with a sauce that tasted store bought. The portion sizes could also have been more generous. As I did not want to ruin an otherwise fun night with my friends, I decided to only provide more thorough feedback the next day. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager of the restaurant. During our conversation, he highlighted that he always receives good feedback and that I was a terrible customer. Without doubt, I was taken aback by his response as I thought I was being genuine in my feedback, and showed no malice. Such a shame that a supposedly popular restaurant in such a great location was unable to accept a customer’s feedback gracefully. Unfortunately I will not patronize this restaurant again and I do not recommend dining in this restaurant.
It was my 61st birthday and we were recommended to go to this restaurant. I have to say 75% of us found the food less than average and all of us were very disappointed in the service. After waiting nearly an hour for our food we were faced with fish that was oily wrapped in a stale batter, chips that had obviously been sitting there for a while and a burger that I could not eat as the meat smelled and tasted off. I would give this place a total miss.
We loved our lunch at Odyssea today ,sitting at the table with a glass of wine in hand , overlooking the ocean , a great way to spend a Monday ! The food was delicious as always the service was warm welcoming .
We came as a 12 people group. Our table was ready ahead of time and the staff was flexible in handling the staggered arrival of guests. Entrees to share have gotten unanimity. Main courses as well (though a few of us kept to the entrees . We had a great time. Friendly and efficient staff (and well, weather was not with us that day!
