Reviews summary
For nearly 75 years this old-fashioned walk-up ice cream shack has been a West-side staple, serving ultra-creamy soft-serve in cones, sundaes and classic specials. Portions are generous, flavors are bold (vanilla-orange twist a local favorite), and staff move quickly even when lines form. It’s seasonal but opens early and stays late, accepts cards, and accommodates large orders for events. Be aware parking is limited and flavor variety is modest — Dole Whip isn’t offered — but fast, reliable treats keep customers coming back.
Was Anonym at Zip Dip a mag?
I didn't get to try it while working on the west side last year. I finally got to stop by couple weeks ago. Haven't done any ice cream yet, but the foot long cheese Coney kill's skylines and gold Star hand's down. Automatic addiction!!! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Zip Dip:
I checked Google Maps and it indicated that the restaurant was open, so I drove there, only to find it closed. I was looking forward to trying it, but unfortunately, it's too far from my home. View all feedback.

Zip Dip really knows how to kick off the season! They open early to welcome all of us who are eager for spring and summer, along with some delicious soft serve! Plus, they stay open later in the...
I absolutely love this place! I try to visit every time I drive in to work. I'm really sad that it will soon be closing for the season.
Anyone who rates Zip Dip anything less than five stars must be out of their mind! It's the best ice cream in Cincinnati!

We live around the corner from Zip Dip and have always been fans of the service and ice cream. For our baby shower, our family surprised us and took individual orders for ALL of our baby shower guests…around 30 people!!! Our siblings and dad picked up the order and brought everyone back treats to enjoy. It was an absolute hit and so, so special to share one of our favorite treats with all of our favorite people. They said that the team was quick and efficient in making everything happen. We will always be thankful for the sweet memory, thanks to Zip Dip!
Delicious ice cream, lively atmosphere. Got the biggest flurry they had. Very good!
Refreshing treat for my wife and me in the middle of the day. I found a St. Louis Cardinals mini helmet for some soft serve chocolate ice cream and my wife had the BONANZA (a smaller version of a banana split).
Great ice cream, fast service. Like most soft serve places, there is limited parking, but there is a small lot to the side of the shop and some street parking on Drew. They have all of the ice cream options you would expect at a soft serve place. It's a West side staple!

I love the soft ice here. It doesn't taste like frozen milk... It is so creamy to them have wonderful aromas to choose.

This place, which I'd not heard of until recently, has been in business for nearly 75 years, so I figure they must be doing something right. For starters, despite being an old-fashioned walkup ice cream shack, unlike a lot of similar businesses, it's not cash only, which makes it much more convenient. However a drawback is the arguably limited number of flavors of soft serve. Dole Whip, which is a favorite of mine in the warmer weather, is not offered here. Another drawback is the very limited parking. I think 3 or 4 spaces total.I honestly found the menu a little bit confusing. I kept it simple with chocolate soft serve in a waffle cone. This is Zip Dip's first weekend of the 2023 season. I think I'll be back for more.
