When I ordered, the bartender took my card, swiped it, and returned it to me, which I thought was normal because many bars require you to settle up when you leave. However, when I went to close out, she informed me that I had already done so and added a tip without my consent. I never signed anything or approved any charges. This raises concerns about the security of your card there, as it seems to be a recurring issue rather than just a one-time mistake. I believe this is a tactic used by some in the service industry to inflate their tips. Unfortunately, the service I received didn’t warrant a 20 percent tip since she only took my order— I helped myself to water and someone else brought out my food.
