I tried something different on this visit. I got a double beef burrito with a little rice, jalapenos, onions, and tomatoes. That's it. No cheese, or anything else. It was horrible. The jalapenos were very hot (which I like), but they were piled on. It was a crazy amount. So I removed some and had a few with my nachos. And then I tried the burrito. OMG, something was wrong. Very wrong. Something tasted horrible. Had to be the rice or the tomatoes. But who would have thought? I tried removing them both, and that helped a little, but ultimately I ended up throwing 85% of it away. I told my wife how bad it was and told her I hoped she didn't want Taco Bell anytime soon. I'm just not sure I could go back after that. Maybe. It would take some convincing to try it again.
